Leeds

I would like to thank the committee of Leeds for offering me this appointment, & my stewards for being so patient. The weather was very hot & some of the dogs suffered in the heat not giving their all.

MPD (0). PD (2) 1 Ballyheige Burretiokentie, not quite 12 months of age, coming together nicely. Won the class on head & movement. Balanced with a melting expression. Good forechest & strong in thigh, covered the ground with ease once settled, hope his coat casts & the wave disappears. Look forward to seeing him mature; 2 Benboee Beguilling at Delahawk, different in type, not quite the head of one but still a kind expression. Shoulders well laid, with good turn of stifle. Harsh in coat, not as fluent on the move.

JD (2) 1 B Beguilling at D; 2 Willholm I Gotta Feeling for Bessalone, this boy was one that suffered from the heat, not quite giving his best. Heavier set than 1. Pleasing head & eye balanced front & rear. When settled moved OK.

PGD (5) 1 Kavacanne Hun Toint Retreve, would have liked a little more length to muzzle, but lovely expression with dark eyes. Good length of neck to well laid shoulders. Good angles to rearquarters, moved steady & sound with correct coat pleased to award him RCC; 2 Puddledub Pyjama, different in type to 1 & the weather played its part as he wasn’t as motivated on the move. Elegant in head with dark eye. Good spring to ribs; 3 Maranns Lanson at Booton.

LD (4) 1 A difficult class to sort out as all different types. 1 Puddledub Polt Dhubh, of correct size with nothing overdone. Nice head with melting expression. Shoulders well laid, short coupled yet covered plenty of ground. Very balanced. Good coat; 2 P Pyjama; 3 Booton Imperial.

OD (3) 1 Sh Ch Barleyarch Alvar, mature dog of 7 years looking the part of a champion. Head of lovely proportions with eye dark giving a soft expression, set onto flowing neck & shoulders. Clean front from all angles. Strong in 1st & 2nd thigh, hocks well let down. Coat harsh & of good colour. The weather didn’t bother his effortless movement. CC & BOB; 2 Sh Ch/Dutch Ch Kavacanne Toff At The Top, different in type to 1 but nevertheless a worthy champion. Slightly longer cast. Yet another with a nice head & dark eye giving the correct expression. Neck & shoulders good, coat of good texture, moved well in the heat but not as strong in the rear as 1; 3 Benboee Bachata.

VD (3) Lovely to see the oldies & today they gave their all. 1 Valger Midshipman, 1st & 2nd different types, 1 won on head & the heat got to 2 on the move. Soft in expression with good length to muzzle. Neck flowed into excellent shoulders. Love his overall shape & moved soundly; 2 Sh Ch Magregor Pukka, shorter cast than 1 but many of the same remarks. Would prefer a little more length to muzzle but didn’t detract from soft pleasing expression; 3 Sh Ch Bryburn The Toff.

MPB (2) 1 Orchidstar Yu Can’t Fool Me, nice head for age should mature nicely. Would like a little more bone throughout, good coat & colour; 2 Orchidstar Yu To Me, litter sister to 1. Difficult to assess as she wouldn’t be gone over. Very pretty head again I personally would like more all through.

PB (4,1,1w/d) 1 Kavacanne A Vimto, liked this puppy, another with a bright future I’m sure. Head with typical expression, flowing topline with sturdy rearquarters. Good coat, sound mover for age; 2 Benboee Bring It On, different in type & well up to size. Loved her head, strong without losing her feminine look. At this stage just not quite together as one.

JB (2) 1 Fleetapple Thyme, pretty bitch with good head, the type I preferred to 2nd. Moved sound & true coming & going; 2 Willholme Sharp & Smart at Bessalone, heavier throughout than 1. Good coat & colour.

PGB (5) 1 Kavacanne Gale Storm, balanced head with dark eye. Good lay of shoulder, strong through loins. Rearquarters strong with good driving movement. RCC; 2 Vinitas Lil Miss Jenni Jai, heavier & longer cast than 1. Strong in head, clean through her shoulders. Good coat, moved well; 3 Kavacanne Toint The Way to Richtig.

LB (3) 1 Kavacanne Blowing A Gale, this girl certainly took my eye. Balanced through with lovely head & expression. Nice length of neck into well laid shoulders. Correct length of back into strong rearquarters which enabled her to move so well. Pleased to award her, her 1st CC the others soon to follow I’m sure; 2 Vinitas Little Miss Posh, another smart workmanlike bitch with a nice outline. Preferred head of 1. She moved well with good stride; 3 Benboee Bordeaux.

OB (1) 1 Delehawk Kerry Dancer, feminine head with dark eye. Front clean, would like more rear angulation. Good coat. Moved OK. VB (4,1) Lovely class of old girls. 1 Sh Ch Winterwell Miss Tique, a worthy champion just looking her age in face, however this doesn’t detract from her soft expression. Good sound front assembly, strong topline held on the move. Balanced rear & front angulation. Excellent coat. BV; 2 Stairfoot Sandgoose, 1st & 2nd close up with many of the same comments, just gave it away on the move. Lovely in outline with short coupling. Excellent coat & colour; 3 Ladyhawk Andromeda.
